Muscle Mind Care (Now Known as  Start Strong Fitness CIC) to offer free classes for parents.

Our grant of £15,000 has helped parents support both physical and mental well-being. Run by qualified pre- and post-natal coaches, the class is suitable for all fitness levels and includes a variety of exercises tailored to parents’ needs. We provide all toys and equipment, creating a welcoming space for children up to 18 months to come along, lay, play, and join in the fun!  here is the link for booking

Cuddle Bed for St Helena Hospice

It was our pleasure to award a grant of £11,700 to St Helena Hospice to go towards a Cuddle Bed for their Inpatient Unit at Myland Hall, Highwoods, allowing patients to remain close to their loved ones on the ward. You can read about Catherine and her daughters experience using the Cuddle Bed during her stay in the Summer, which they have kindly agreed to share.

Fellowship Hub for Men

Our grant of £9,500 has provided furnishings and materials to enable the Greenland Grove Animal Sanctuary to set up a suicide prevention hub in its grounds.  The hub is place where men can meet up for company and fellowship, create and repair things and get involved with the animals in the sanctuary.

Support for Bridgeway Mission

We were very pleased to be able to support the Bridgeway Mission with a grant of £10,000 to enable them to organise respite trips for the new immigrants and refugees to Colchester, to help improve  their feelings of isolation and to adjust more easily to life in the U.U.
